The Fiestas were formed in 1958 and hailed from Newark NJ. The original line-up was Tommy Bullock, Eddie Morris, Sam Ingalls and Preston Lane, although there were various changes in their history from 1958 - 1977, these were the core members.  Bobby Moore was part of the line-up in 1960.

They released a dozen of more singles on Old Town before leaving in 1965.  Thereafter they had fewer release on various labels and didn't have another until 1971 and their last being 1977 with a  dabble into disco with the hideous Tina The Disco Queen ... even the title is sufficient to give it a very wide berth!

Their biggest hit was So Fine which they released in 1958 Old Town and then 1971 Atlantic, 1974 Vigor and it saw at least another 3 reissues on oldies labels Atlantic Oldies Series, Ripete, Eric.  This is surprising given that Hy Weiss (owner of Old Town) lost a law suit by Johnny Otis who owned the copyright of the song, but perhaps he was trying to recoup the money he had to pay Johnny Otis?

Their doo wop background is evident on this release with some nice soul harmonies to that requisite on the fours driving Northern beat.
